Metalogix updates Replicator for Sharepoint

Metalogix Software, the trusted provider of content lifecycle management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Cloud platforms, has announced the general release of Metalogix Replicator for SharePoint 5.0. The new version meets the operational needs of multi-server SharePoint infrastructures that need the synchronisation of content or immediate failover availability at wire speed for disaster recovery.
In March, Metalogix acquired Syntergy’s SharePoint business, including the market-leading Replicator for SharePoint, which is a Web-based solution used to synchronise and manage business intelligence in real-time across multiple SharePoint environments.
Replicator for SharePoint provides for two-way data synchronisation by replicating content and settings back and forth between server farms, even if they are not identical.
“The functionality to synchronise between two locations is a key benefit for local organisations that have remotes sites or branches, especially those with operations in remote regions that make use of Satellite and have limited bandwidth,” says Chris Hathaway, director at Soarsoft Africa, distributor of Metalogix in the African region.
“We have seen these requirements regularly in the mining, retail and financial services verticals. Other scenarios include customers using SharePoint for document management across multiple geographies and regions.
“Metalogix’s ongoing commitment to continuously improving its offering is clearly evident in this development and ensures SharePoint users’ ongoing needs and requirements are anticipated and met.”
Replicator for SharePoint 5.0 features improved, patent-pending compression that reduces network overhead costs more than any other replication solution on the market.
By utilising Replicator for SharePoint 5.0, organisations with multiple SharePoint servers can have uninterrupted access to content that enhances employee productivity and efficiency and improves company performance globally.
The release of Replicator for SharePoint 5.0 includes a number of new features including adaptive replication, which provides changing environments, such as military installations, with the fastest access to their SharePoint.
The solution automatically adapts to changing network conditions, and allows prioritisation of specific content, to identify and use the most efficient route based on user-specific criteria. Adaptive replication also minimises network traffic through its patent-pending micro-messaging system.
“The patent-pending features in Replicator for SharePoint 5.0 differentiates our solution from other SharePoint products and further demonstrates our team’s innovative leadership to create and develop breakthrough SharePoint solutions for organisations to move and manage content,” says Steven Murphy, CEO, Metalogix.
“The 5.0 version of Metalogix Replicator for SharePoint allows organisations to address the rapidly growing needs of their multi-server SharePoint infrastructure while dramatically reducing network and administrative overhead as part of our strategy to continue to enhance the use and performance of our customers’ SharePoint platform investment.”
